We’re excited to announce that the Coast Mountain Bike Trail Association’s 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on:
Date: Tuesday, December 3, 2024
Time: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: Tapworks Brewing Company 537 Cruice Lane, Gibsons, BC
The AGM is a vital opportunity for us to connect as a community, reflect on our accomplishments over the past year, and discuss plans for the future of mountain biking on the Sunshine Coast. The evening will include:
A review of 2024 highlights, including trail building and maintenance initiatives, advocacy efforts, and membership growth.
The presentation of our financial statement for 2024.
Election of directors for 2025.
Networking and discussions about joining our sub-committees to support specific aspects of our mission.
Board Nominations for 2025
Are you passionate about mountain biking and committed to improving trails on the Sunshine Coast? The CMBTA is seeking motivated individuals to join the Board of Directors.
Director Responsibilities Include:
Shaping the strategic direction of the association.
Leading or co-leading a sub-committee focused on critical areas such as communications, trails, or fundraising.
Dedicating 10–20 hours per month to board-related activities

1. Your name and the position you are running for.
2. A brief explanation of your capacity to commit and why you are interested in joining the board.
3. Names of two current CMBTA members who support your nomination.
Eligibility Requirements
Be a current CMBTA member in good standing.
Be at least 18 years old.
Not undergoing bankruptcy or convicted of fraud or corporate offences in the last five years.
Join a Sub-Committee
Not ready for a board role but still want to get involved? Consider joining one of our sub-committees. We’re looking for passionate individuals to contribute to areas like:
Communications
Grants and Fundraising
Trails
Membership and Volunteers
Advocacy and Trail Sanctioning

Only members in good standing are eligible to vote. Make sure your membership is current!
